A vintage 'Sirram' Picnic Box - not complete but inside the picnic box are 4 vintage porcelain cups, 4 vintage porcelain plates, 4 spoons, a small glass jar and a thermos. A lovely nostalgic retro item from the '50s.
The condition of this solid picnic hamper is not bad considering its age. There is a little peeling on one edge. The locks are in reasonably good condition - not much tarnashing. The plastic lid of the glass container has a little damage and one or two of the cups and one plate has a little crazing and one a small crack.
The plates and cups have a lovely flower pattern from the 'Victoria' pottery in Stoke - Fenton 44. These by themselves are quite historic.
The Sirram label is present inside the box but seems to have been removed from above the handle.
This incomplete Sirram Picnic Hamper would make a good prop for a shop, restaurant or film or for someone looking for parts or as a good starter set for someone to add to from similar finds at boot fairs or online. The pottery plates and cups would be good props for an artist or art student.
