Ditchling Biannual Fair - Saturday 20th June on the village green mainly. There are books and plants for sale and previously climbing. Sometimes they hold art secret auctions and quizzes. This year there will be a dog show in the afternoon and a dawn walk.

Parking is never easy (Ditchling village sits on a cross roads) and the centre of the village may be closed to through traffic for a while, nearest train station - Hassocks where there is more parking available (about a 20 minute walk into Ditchling) or you can hire bicycles from the station. There are two car parks in this direction but probably full.

Lots of things happening around the village all day - music, mummers, fair queen, dancing, tug-o-war, beer and food (and two pubs), morris dancers, scarecrow trail, Jack and Jill race in the morning - open to everyone (bucket filled with water with holes in) and a wizzard (human and dog). Ditchling is little bit like Midsummer Norten

As you leave the village northwards - there is an artist community at Dumbrells and Macs farm where you can collect free range eggs.
