Tonttu-Ukka is a mythical creature of Scandinavian folklore. Also known as Tomte or Nisse were believed to take care of a farmer's home and children and protect them from misfortune, in particular at night, when the housefolk were asleep. The Finnish name tonttu-ukko means "house lot man" or tomte-bonde  "farmer".

Freya named after the Norse Goddess of love, beauty and destiny, a guide and companion on the journey to Valhalla for many Viking heroes. Despite their smallness tomte possess immense strength and are very protective and caring although sometimes can be grumpy.

To keep them happy, at Christmas in Scandinavian countries they are left a bowl of porridge on Christmas night. Without this the tomte might leave the farm or house, or engage in mischief such as tying the cows' tails together in the barn and turn objects upside-down.

Freya loves animals, especially a little fox called Glad which means happy.
